Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy Statement 2024 / 2025

All employees and contractors of Echo Seismic Ltd. and its affiliates (the “Corporation”) recognize that concern for the environment and quality of life is an integral part of the way in which the Corporation conducts business. The Corporation recognizes that environmental protection is a responsibility held collectively by government, industry, communities and individuals and that economic growth, social responsibility and responsible environmental management are the foundations of sustainable development.

Echo is committed to continually improving the Corporation’s environmental performance and the prevention of negative environmental impacts by undertaking the following:

 

  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards for the protection of the environment.
  • Developing open and constructive relationships with environmental groups, regulatory agencies, customers, institutions, and communities in the areas where the Corporation conducts business activities.
  • Creating project specific risk assessments that include assessments of environmental risks and use of mitigation measures required to minimize risk exposure and/or damage to natural areas.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining, in conjunction with appropriate authorities or clients, project specific environmental management plans when significant impacts are identified for specific projects or project areas.
  • Upholding a strong stewardship of environmental practices and committing to protecting the environment by minimizing or eliminating disturbances to land, water, wildlife and vegetation.
  • Respecting and protecting environmentally sensitive areas and zones where wildlife habitat is present.
  • Promoting environmental best practices for all Corporation activities and encouraging the sharing of experience and continued support of growth and development in environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Developing manageable emergency response plans for environmental events that involves all Corporation personnel and contractors to mitigate potential impact on the environment within project areas.
  • Adopting waste management strategies that promote waste minimization (reduce, re-use and recycle) and pursue initiatives aimed at reducing atmospheric emissions.
  • Restoring worksites and camp locations as close to their original state as is reasonably practical.
  • Training employees and sub-contractors to perform work activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Developing awareness of environmental issues and responsibilities under this policy with both employees and contractors.
  • Striving to continually improve environmental performance.

 

All personnel working for or on behalf of the Corporation have the responsibility for achieving specific objectives that work to support this Policy.
